WF Palestine Solidarity: May dates for you diary

Dear friend,

This is our monthly email to you with some key dates for your diary.

May Council and MEP elections
In May we have elections for London Members of European Parliament (MEP) as well as election for our local Waltham Forest Councillors. Both elections present us with the opportunities to raise with the candidates the issues of Palestine and enquire what their position is.
As a part of a national campaign we have emailed all MEP candidates a questionnaire which you can find, together with the MEPs’ emails list on our website.
We will soon be writing to all candidates for Waltham Forest councillors – please check our website for the text of our letter.
You could use those letters to do the same. The more of us do that, the more our representatives are going to be aware of the strength of feeling about the Palestine in Waltham Forest and of our determination to ensure that our opinions on Palestine are represented.

WFPSC May branch meeting
The date of you next branch meeting is 21 May ’14 and we will meet in the usual place, the Hornbeam CafĂ© (http://www.hornbeam.org.uk/).
The meeting will start at 7pm with the presentation by our member John G. about his work in Bethlehem, in the occupied West Bank, followed by questions and discussion.
From 8pm to 9pm we will discuss the branch business which will include updates and planning of future activates.
Those who want to join our monthly branch meetings are most welcome and if there is something you are particularly interested to hear about in or want to present in the future meetings, please let us know.
